Okay, so maybe it's afternoon, but none the less I do have a weekend recap! (Hello Oscars weekend!)
Friday: Tried a new fast dinner spot... Chakra Cafe in Old Town. It was great. Fast Indian cuisine and very good options. I enjoyed a small flat bread pizza with egg plant, goat cheese, and caramelized onions, followed by baklava fingers. Not amazing enough to surpass Faccia Luna as my usual Friday tradition, but a new spot when I want something good and fast.
Saturday: Kicked off the day with the usual morning coffee run. Then headed to Pentagon City mall for some sunglasses shopping before moving the shopping to Friendship Heights Galleria. That evening Bret and I attended a classical guitar concert in Bethesda which was very relaxing and quite impressive.
Sunday: ACADEMY AWARDS PREPARATION! The event of the year is enjoying delicious treats and watching the red carpet and award show. It was nice to see Billy Crystal again and thought he did a nice job despite an overall lack-luster show. Favorite dress = Michelle Williams
